Welcome to the Autumn, or should I say Fall, update where we showcase what's been happening with Client Portal over the last three months.

🆕 What's New in Client Portal:

It's here! Download and import portal templates to use in your account.

In the last update, I promised to make our inspiration portals into templates that you can import into your own portals.

I've created a page where you can see our portal templates and download any you'd like to use. Four templates are available now; the rest will be added when I have recreated them in the new Block editor version.

Here are some other fixes and improvements we've made over the last three months:

• Fixed conflicts with the Rank Math plugin.
• Fixed the import and export feature to support Five.
• Fixed an issue where duplicated modules cannot be displayed in the sidebar of content pages.
• We have added the noindex robots meta tag to private Portal pages so that they will not be indexed by search engines. Read more about this here.
• Updated to display preview links in the block editor for the Content Pages.
• Fixed some missing CSS styles on the Content Pages.
• This is just a tiny selection of improvements made; see​ all of the updates in our roadmap.​

Here's what's in the pipeline:

• We are bringing back templates to Client Portal. We were initially going to replace Templates with Block Patterns, but after feedback, we realized both are needed. Read more about this here.
• Make the File Download and Links popups work from the content page sidebar (currently, you need to go back to the portal dashboard to see the popup).
• Releasing more downloadable templates that you can import into Client Portal (Got any recommendations? Reply and tell me which templates you'd like to see).

🌟 User Spotlight:

I recently spoke to a customer about using Client Portal as an employee portal for a recycling and waste collection company.

It included training videos and information on the company's various policies. A simple employee portal could benefit so many companies—what a great idea!

💡 Pro Tip:

​You can use WooCommerce to sell portals. The client (or customer) would purchase a service or product, and when they pay, they get immediate access to a portal.

You can use this to have your clients pay a deposit for a service. Once they've paid, they will get their own portal with all the intake documents and any other helpful information ready for them to complete.

You could also use this to sell digital downloads (such as ebooks, templates, videos, etc.). Check out this portal for​ an example of what yours could look like.

🗣️ Community Corner:

One theme we've heard in our support desk is that you need a way to search content pages directly from portals. Right now, you have to scroll through what can be a very long list.

We hear you! We've added this to our short-term roadmap, so you should see it in your accounts soon.
