Hey Reader, Welcome to the Autumn, or should I say Fall, update where we showcase what's been happening with Client Portal over the last three months. π What's New in Client Portal:It's here! Download and import portal templates to use in your account. In the last update, I promised to make our inspiration portals into templates that you can import into your own portals. I've created a page where you can see our portal templates and download any you'd like to use. Four templates are available now; the rest will be added when I have recreated them in the new Block editor version. π Check out the portal templates that you can use hereβ π See our documentation on how to import and export portal templates Here are some other fixes and improvements we've made over the last three months:
Here's what's in the pipeline:
ποΈ Client Portal in the Wild:
π User Spotlight:I recently spoke to a customer about using Client Portal as an employee portal for a recycling and waste collection company. It included training videos and information on the company's various policies. A simple employee portal could benefit so many companiesβwhat a great idea! π‘ Pro Tip:βYou can use WooCommerce to sell portals. The client (or customer) would purchase a service or product, and when they pay, they get immediate access to a portal. You can use this to have your clients pay a deposit for a service. Once they've paid, they will get their own portal with all the intake documents and any other helpful information ready for them to complete. You could also use this to sell digital downloads (such as ebooks, templates, videos, etc.). Check out this portal forβ an example of what yours could look like. Right now, you have to scroll through what can be a very long list. We hear you! We've added this to our short-term roadmap, so you should see it in your accounts soon. --- I hope you're having a wonderful October. We're gearing up for Halloween here. The UK doesn't go to town as much as the US, but we're going to start the trend and decorate over the weekend! Catch you in the following (winter) update! -Laura Elizabeth, Founder of Client-Portal.ioβ |

Hey Reader, After the recent demo video, quite a few people got in touch asking for a closer look at the portal I used as an example. So I've written it up properly, with a live version you can click around in and a template you can download and import straight into Client Portal. π Take a look at the portal and download the template It's built around a web design project, so if that's the kind of work you do it should be pretty useful as a starting point. But even if it isn't, it's a decent...
Hey Reader, That was quicker than expected. The update is live π₯³ you can grab it now from your WordPress dashboard. If you'd like a full walkthrough of what's new, I put together a short video here. For everyone else, here's the TLDR: Better theme compatibility This has been a pain point for a lot of you. We've added CSS isolation for non-block themes and page builders, so your portal should now display correctly regardless of what theme you're running. If this has been causing you grief,...
Hey Reader, For years, I used Client Portal to host Client Portal's own documentation. It worked well - showed off how flexible the product is, and honestly it looked good. But as the product grew and the documentation got more complex, I needed something built specifically for documentation. Search functionality, version tracking, that sort of thing. So I've moved everything over to a dedicated documentation platform (π FernDesk), and the difference is significant. π Take me to the new docs!...
